Olive green cloth with gilt titles to the spine, Sunned at the backstrip and along the edges of the covers, lightly toned block. Pushed at the tail but the corners are sharp and the book fairly tight and square. Free from owner names etc, a nice clean copy, VG. The dustjacket is price-clipped and rubbed at the corners. Slightly colour-faded at spine, a few little scrapes to the laminate along the top edge. VG dustjacket.

The novel was based on the James Whale film "The Bride of Frankenstein" (1935) starring Elsa Lanchester and Boris Karloff. After the movie was completed, Michael Harrison was commissioned to produce a novel from the original film script. Given only three weeks to produce a finished work, Harrison (Egremont) ultimately abandoned the script and produced what "was to all intents and purposes original fiction."
