A rare first edition of this quirky, satirical parody of Radclyffe Hall's The Well of Loneliness, by Henry von Rhau (1896-1960). Jacket and frontispiece illustrations by von Rhau's friend, the gay playwright John Colton (1887-1946). Colton is depicted in ''The Hell of Loneliness'' as the character ''Coogan.
