About This Item
New York: Holiday House, 1945. Hardcover. Illustrations by Charles Banks Wilson. Small 4to. Pictorial paper over boards. 51pp. Numerous illustrations, pictorial endpapers. Very good. Faint binding edgewear; couple of inoffensive abrasions on front flyleaf. Lacks dust jacket, else a tight and quite copy of this juvenile biography from this publisher who does not indicate edition in a consistent, verifiable manner. Inner flyleaf bears a huge, bold author inscription and signature in blue ballpoint "To [ -- ] / With all good wishes / Louis A. Neyhart / November 16, 1979." Opposite this is tipped an Autograph Note Signed from her, 1p, 8 3/4" X 4¼", Freeport, IL, n.y. Near fine. "Sorry I wasn't home when you stopped. How did you happen to get this copy of 'Henry'? -- I'd like to know. School Library?" and initialed. NOT an ex-library copy, by the way!
