(There is a colophon page at end of book with this information, Otherwise the book could be mistaken for the First edition.) NEAR FINE in NEAR FINE dust jacket. A lovely, clean, totally unmarked copy. Pages fresh and fine, firmly bound in hardcover of beige cloth with decorative green printing, spine covered in deep burnt-orange cloth. Title gilt stamped on spine. Front endpapers lightly toned, otherwise pages, and cover are fine. Jacket, with same decorative motif as the cover is clean with only light edgewear (tiny chips at spine einds). Bottom corner of front flap price clipped. Jacket is in a clear archival protector. A beautifully designed volume, featuring 2-color pages (text in black, heads in orange) and black and white reproductions of fifteenth and sixteenth century woodcuts. 85 herbs are presented. 7-3/4 x 10-1/4"; xiii + 48 text pages, plus colophon page at rear. Fifth Printing. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 4to.
