London: Hodder and Stoughton The women from Meredith's books with Bedford's delightful portraits (20) tipped in with tissue guards, 166pp. Blue covers with gilt lettering to spine and lettering and decoration to front, presumed first but ND. Upper front board has oval portrait of Diana Warwick (Diana of the Crossways). Gilt top page edges. Scuffing to extremities of covers with a few light marks and tiny nick to edge of oval portrait. Foxing, a neat gift inscription on front pastedown (dated 1923) and frontis tissue guard is torn. But a very solid copy in generally good condition. Ref:071603.. Cloth. G++/N/a.
