New York: Fox, Duffield & Co, 1905. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Description: 1st edition, 8vo, olive-tan illustrated cloth in green, 419 pages, frontispiece is a b/w illustration by Thomas Mitchel Peirce, 1 page of publisher ads. Theodora Peck (1882 - 1964) was an American author and poet from Vermont, known mostly for her historical novels. Condition: VERY GOOD+ / no jacket: slight rubbing to spine head and tail, toning to front endpapers from newsprint laid-in (which is now glued to the recto of the frontispiece - an article about Peck being elected as an honorary corresponding member of the Institut Litteraire et Artistique de France in 1938). A Vermont setting during the Revolutionary war (wherein Ethan Allen makes an appearance).
