About This Item
Undated. 1½ x 3 inches, paper adhering to verso. Found among the papers of Pierre Hippolyte Boutigny, professor of chemistry. Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie, the younger (1817-1880), chemist. In 1865 he was appointed professor of chemistry at Oxford. He discovered an important process for the purification of graphite.
