Paris: Firmin-Didot, 1875. First edition. [7],522pp. Illus., 2 folded maps at rear depicting Florida. Contemporary quarter red leather with gold stamping on most of spine.(Orig printed wraps are bound in). This copy has a very small paper label at lower spine, a library bookplate and an embossed library stamp on title page Howes G2. A rare and important work on the Floridas from earliest times. Contains a synopsis of four voyages to the area.

Many of the pages are unopened, and I saw one that is even misnumbered (133 instead of 233), but it is the correct page. I am quite confident that all pages are present, and will give a full refund if you find that they are not. Text entirely in French. Size: 8mo - over 7 3/4" - 9 3/4" tall. 520 pp. Pages are yellowed, but are clean. Spine is missing, and the book is broken into sections. Moderately foxed throughout.
