The Hague: Adrian Moetjens, 1692. Hardcover. Good. Woodcut emblematic printer's mark of stork in palmtree with open book held by Athena & winged goddess. . Duodecimo (134x70mm) contemporary leather (rebacked with part of old spine relaid, tips very worn). All edges sprinkled red, ownerships (Chas. Johns Painter Bedford May 24th 1838 & R.H.B. Bolton Trin. Coll. Camb. 1880) on free endpaper, 498pp (inc. almost identical titlepages for 1st and 2nd parts) +[6]pp publisher's book list. French text. First titlepage somewhat browned as are endpapers, a few signs of use and small corner creases, else clean and tight. *Madame d'Aulnoy, famous for her collections of fairy tales, also wrote several pseudo-biographies like this one relating 15th century heroic deeds.
