Geneva: Pierre Aubert, 1629. 2nd Edition . Very Good Minus. 7 x 9.5 inches (18 x 24 cm). Second edition, without imprint, possibly printed in Geneva by Pierre Aubert. Recent quarter calf leather binding with paper covered boards. Spine has four raised bands, red morocco title label, blind ornaments to centre of compartments. Title in contemporary ink to outside page edge. Foxing to text (heavy in parts), some staining to top corner towards the end of the book. Fine engraving of the Council of Trent in session, woodcut head and tail pieces plus a few initials. A good solid example. Overall condition is Very Good Minus. Hardback. Printed pages: 4to. [4], 842, [12] (table) [page nos. 839-840 are repeated]
