New York: Harper & Brothers, 1902. FIRST EDITION / FIRST PRINTING. Bound in exceptionally high quality, calf leather bindings. Gilded spines with raised hubs. The top edges are gilded. Printed on thick quality paper. Wide margins. Large font. These are heavy books. Fully illustrated. 9 inches tall. 8.75 inches of shelf space. In VERY GOOD condition overall, with external stains along the base of the spines as shown in the picture. The leather is very supple and fresh. Just some light external shelf wear as shown. The hinges are 100% fully attached. These are very fresh, bright, and clean. Bookplate of Charles D. Armstrong. This is an impressive First Edition. Bound in the highest quality leather bindings. These display beautifully. This set would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any fine library. In addition to their shelf presence, antiquarian books make an excellent investment.
