New York: Dodd, Mead, 1882. Cloth. Good +. 2 vols.: xx, 570; xiii, 567 p. 23 cm. Vol. I illustrated with a coloured frontispiece map, five black and white plates, and 192 woodcuts in the text. Vol. II illustrated with a frontispiece and three other plates, plus 61 woodcuts in the text. Brown cloth, gilt on spine, dark green endpapers, top edges gilt. The spines show the imprint of S. E. Cassino, Boston. Most wear at the extremities with small tears at spine ends and modest rubbing. Four leaves of the Contents and Illustrations in vol. 1 stick out and have torn edges.
