Raised spine bands, gilt spine titles, gilt upper text edge, matching marbled endpapers. Binding most likely c. 1860. Engraved heraldic bookplate of Thomas Whitten on the endpapers. Condition is VERY GOOD+ ; leather is supple with no surface cracking or splits. All joints excellent. The marbled boards are all a bit sunned and worn. Bindings tight and text bright and unmarked. Hist. RGR.
