London; J. Dodsley, 1769 - 1772. Hardcover. Good +. 5 1/4 x 8 1/2 in. Vol 1 - viii, 487 pgs. Vols 1 through 4 are printed in 1769, vol 5 in 1772. Uniformly bound in brown calf with gilt rules on covers, 5 raised bands on spine, gilt decoration on spines, calf labels. Condition of the books is GOOD+ ; all have edge wear and hinges cracking or starting, all covers present. Covers have wear and rubbing. Spines have crackling and all labels either partly or wholly missing. Vol 4 the front cover is detached, along with the endpaper and following blank pg. All have toned borders to endpapers and mild foxing to text. All have contemporary engraved armorial bookplate belonging to John Hare of the Inner Temple. History. RGR.
