Barrie, Ontario: County Council, 1909. Hardcover. Very good. 2 vols.: viii, 335; vi, 323 p. 23 cm. 97 b&w illustrations. Burgundy cloth hardcovers with gold and black impressing. Corners bumped. Spine ends softened and a little torn.

Besides being an historian, Andrew Frederick Hunter is remembered as an archaeologist. He published records of Huron village sites and other remains in a number of Simcoe County townships east of the Nottawasaga River. This history of Simcoe County, however, is his masterwork.
