Litchfield: Litchfield Enquirer, 1920. 1st . Hardcover. Very Good. First printing. 360 pp., 102 photos, two-page map, errata slip laid in at ffep, octavo, red buckram with gilt titles. 1920 presentation inscription on ffep from W. S. Rogers, prominent citizen to Jean Chadwick. Bright copy with light wear to boards, front hinge cracking a bit but holding well. Several leaves of the appendix laid in loosely, possible binding error. Scarce item. Laid in: letterhead for The Bantam Ball Bearing Company, of which Mr. Rogers was Chairman of the Board. Also laid in: 24 pp. index to the book, compiled by Arthur E. Bostwick. This was printed some time after the book was published, and adds greatly to the ease of finding information about people in the book. The inscriber of this copy has 3 mentions in the index, including a portait on p. 342.
