Darkened green covers with gilt lettering on the spine and blind title and decoration on the front cover, hand-written reference number near base of the spine, corners and spine-ends are bumped and lightly rubbed. Some separation between rear of half-title and obverse of frontis but but both are firmly attached, second contents page with errata on the reverse is detached, binding is otherwise sound. Clean slightly darkened pages. Frontis of Meltham from the Roman Camp and plan of the Roman Camp with protective tissue leaf. No dust jacket, as published. Stamps for Halifax Antiquarian Society and "Withdrawn" stamp on front end-papers and prelims. Pages of main text and plates (including reverse of plates) are free from stamps.
