Hardcover book with blue pictorial boards and dust jacket, first edition, 256pp, weighs 1710gms. Illustrated with a superb collection of over 230 photographs, this book contains a wealth of fascinating material on all aspects of seafaring, from the first small boat and oar to the complicated powerful machines of present-day submarines. This is a good solid copy with some minor age-related general wear and tear and faint page discolouration. Dust jacket is in good condition with mild shelf wear and some small tears/damage to corners and top of spine. There is a small pencil mark on the inside front page, otherwise no other pre-loved markings..
