Volume has been recased using original covers with original spine laid on. New linen joints and strengthened hinges. Ornate gilt and blind decoration. Bright gilt text block edges. Decorated main title and two plain sub-titles. Blank illustrated family record pages prior to title. Text in two parallel columns plus two parallel notes columns and two parallel columns of notes under the text. Text and notes are framed. Contains very many black and white engravings, mostly with protractive tissue sheets. Leather is lightly rubbed and is scuffed at corners. Binding is sound. Clean marbled end-papers with light wear at edges. Light foxing in margins of text pages. Tissue protection leaves are foxed, plates have foxing in margins. Packed weight approx. 11kg.
