Previous owner's name on front free endpaper and an obituary of Jonathan Cape (publisher) has been pasted to the front paste down. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket sun faded, has small areas of loss at spine head, shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, price unclipped. 8vo. In this second volume of his memoirs the poet William Plomer tells how he returned to Europe via Siberia in the late 1920s and of his gradual re-adaptation to English life.
