This is a novel of a Norwegian-American girl who loved the old family ties, but who also loved the new world of which she was a part. This is also a story of immigration, prejudice, teaching, higher education, and by her efforts to improve the education in a small school, she is accepted by parents and student. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
