Law imprint on title page. 24mo; [ii], 291pp. Blind embossed black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine. Boards a bit warped, with bumps to corners, rubbing down joints, and small chips at spine ends. Covers open easily with starts to cracks at hinges, but binding is secure. Pages foxed with a faint, unrippled dampstain affecting bottom pages corners. Some pencil doodles on endpapers, else pages unmarked. Second issue of this pocket abridgment of Freligh's larger Homoeopathic Practice of Medicine (1853), itself one of the most popular homoeopathy manuals of its time.
