Paris: Librairie Renouard; H. Laurens, Successeur, 1888. Three Quarters Leather. Near Fine binding. The first systematic listing of Daumier's lithograph illustrations, by Arsene Alexandre. Honore Daumier was a French printmaker, caricaturist, painter and sculptor, who focused on social and political aspects of 19c France. With portrait frontispiece, three double page plates, about 32 full page plates and illustrations, and additional text illustrations. Scattered foxing. Some loss to the top of the spine. Original wrappers and paper spine bound in. Navy morocco over marbled paper boards, with gilt and red lettering and decoration. Near Fine binding.
