Literary, astute, and humorous, Warner writes of religious services, racial inequality, social quirks and people he meets in Reconstruction South, including a young Appalachian beauty who spits tobacco and an active 100-year-old former slave. Good (no DJ): ex-library with stickers and stamps, covers rubbed and spine fraying, po names on ffep, light tanning, no noticeable internal markings.
