About This Item

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1961. Book. Fine. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. First Edition, First Printing. Author's first book. Basis for the acclaimed movie, Hud, starring Paul Newman. The book and dustjacket are virtually as new with barely perceptible rubbing to spine ends. The book and dustjacket are otherwise pristine. At the time, McMurtry was expanding his stock at his Archer City, TX, location. Book is protected in a custom cut clear mylar cover. All books are carefully wrapped and shipped in a box..
