Glazenwood.: S. Curtis.. 1831.. Hand colored engraving, plate size approximately 8 x 4 1/2 inches on sheet 9 x 5 1/4 inches. Very good condition; adhesive tao to upper left corner, small abrasion to mid and right upper edge (outside image area). Plate # 3099 from William Curtis's "Botanical Magazine". The engraving is accompanied by a text page giving a description of the plant and details such as where it was found, how to grow it etc. The plant depicted is a native of the Blue Mountains in North America (Oregon and Washington). .
