The author covers the elements of the end-game (the chessboard and moves: stalemate, zugzwang, opposition, the triangle, related squares), the men (queen, rook, pawn, bishop and night endings), positional analysis, conception and execution of a plan, tactical opportunities, false results (examples), and the transition from middle-game. Several positions are set as exercises, the solutions of which appear on pages 253-262.
