Boston: Little Brown, 1969. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good +. First edition of his first book, a collection of stories. This copy is signed by the author and very unusual thus. Very good plus in red cloth with book plate to inside front pastedown (mostly hidden by front flap), evidence of small sticker removal from ffep, minor crimping to lower board edges. Unclipped jacket is VG+ to NF with light rubbing and minor wear to extremeties. Author's next book was a Pulitzer winner. Scarce signed. Signed by Author.
