Description:
Three volumes, near fine; this book appears unused. Eminent 19th century medieval historian, patriot and activist Henry Charles Lea's famous and exhaustive compendium of materials concerning witchcraft from the writings of the early Hebrews down to 1547. A rather amazing collection of materials, both legal and historical, concerning the origin, development, traditions, influence, stages of belief and influence, and differences by region in the practice of witchcraft, magic and sorcery. Organized and edited from Lea's notes by Arthur Charles Howland, Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania, who also verified Lea's citations. Inscribed gift of editor.

Warren Publications. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. Fine. Frank Frazetta et al. Instant Eerie magazine collection of 74 core issues! Eerie was a seminal SF, Fantasy, and Horror magazine (companion to the equal caliber Creepy Magazine) that began in the mid 1960's (1966) and continued for several decades, full of (ahead of their time) great stories and art - color covers and interior B&W drawings. Please note: the 74 issues were graded at Fine condition (Overstreet 6.0) with most copies in better condition but a few less - #51 is probably the lowest grade (VG+) with a cover split and aging at upper left front corner though the contained poster is uncommonly present. Really nice super grouping, great condition overall, worth the price of admission - and every magazine is bagged and boarded! For lovers of EC comics, Tales From the Crypt (comic and TV), and Marvel/Curtis Conan the Barbarian Savage Tales (that followed these Warren magazines) fans, of course. The start of many great artists given the freedom to explore new ideas. Years of reading enjoyment contained within. Extra postage will definitely apply.
