The Family Bell, 1928. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Signed. 189 pages (complete). Privately produced tribute to Hugh Lowthian Bell - son of the second Baronet Bell and half brother of the legendary Gertrude Bell - who came to be a most effective, fondly remembered, devoted priest in South Africa (Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town). Affixed to the front paste-down is a hand-written letter from Reverend Bell's widow. A contented copy. Half-leather. Cambridge blue boards with stamped gilt titling. The corners and spine have some amiable wear. The boards have mild scuffing and handling marks. They are steady and sure. The contents are most agreeable. They are fresh-faced, creamy, clean, clear, congenial, produced with great devotion and care, noble. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
