Small 8vo, approximately 150 x 85 mm, 5½ x 3½ inches, woodcut frontispiece, 22 woodcut text illustrations of varying sizes, decorated initials, pages: [16], 1-285, some misnumbering but catch words correct, lacks the last blank endpaper which is in the collation, ends on T7, rebound in full panelled calf, maroon gilt lettered label, gilt decoration to spine, blind decoration to covers, new endpapers. Pale offset from frontispiece and woodcut illustrations to text, tip of 3 corners torn with slight loss, nowhere near text, page 271 in the "Art of Fowling"has margin torn with loss, affecting the first few words to 7 lines of text (see image), 2 slim pieces of old paper with the missing words on lossley laid in, last page has small repair to blank side, last 2 pages have some small brown spots to margins, some pale age-browning throughout, 2 margins have a little old ink scribble, not affecting text, occasional small nick to margins, otherwise a very good copy.
