Fine (faint pencil name of previous owner on front fly leaf). 12 mo. (6 1/2 X 4 3/4 inches) 102 pages, includes the rare advertisement for "Hutchings' Tourist Agency for theYo Semite Valley and The Big Tree Groves" printed on both sides of a single sheet of lavender paper tipped in on the recto of the wood-cut frontis entitled "General view of Yo Semite Valley from Artist Point;" two-page "Hutchings' Outline Map of Tourist Travel to the Yo-semite Valley, Big Tree Groves, Etc., California." A guide to Yosemite Valley and the Calaveras, Tuolumne, Merced, and Mariposa big tree groves." The table of contents is headlined "Different Dishes in the Course," and includes "The Six Routes to Yosemite," "How the Big Trees Were Discovered," "How the Yosemite Valley Was Formed," and "How the Yosemite Valley Was Discovered.
