London: Hutchinson, 1930. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition. Red buckram with gilt spine lettering. Spine tips pushed and heavy foxing to the page block edges which has crept into the text block in places. A near VG copy. The D/W is good only and is soiled with several long tears. With a long inscription by the Author (dated 1930) on the front free end-paper: "My dear Ellison, / You have mired/ me with suggestion and criticism/ & now you appear as my patron/ - shall I not, as an author, be/ grateful? - I am &/ remain/ yours very truly/ Robert Courtneidge/ Dec. 9th 1930
