Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1940. Four vintage studio still photographs from the 1940 film. One with a mimeo snipe on the verso, along with a date stamp reading MAY 27 1940.

Based on the 1939 French film directed by Raymond Bernard. The story of an unsuccessful ballerina (real-life ballerina Zorina) who teams up with a pair of con men to impersonate a countess in order to steal from high society. The film ends with a tremendous ballet sequence that showcases Zorina's considerable talent-at 12 minutes long, it was the longest scene of its kind to appear in any film to date, and was shot on a $15,000 all-glass stage set.

Set in Paris.

8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus overall.
