About This Item
New York, NY Random House, 1995. Hardcover First Edition USA, First Printing indicated. First Edition USA, First Printing indicated. Near Fine in Near Fine DJ: Both book and DJ show only minute indications of use. Book shows no discernible wear; there is a crease in the rear pastedown endpaper (appears to be a production flaw); the binding shows barely discernible lean, but remains perfectly secure; text clean. DJ shows a tiny spot of what appears to be sticker residue at the upper front panel; else only mild rubbing; the price is unclipped. Overall, very close to 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 419pp. This book was first published in German i 1994. No attribution of translation into English (perhaps performed by the author herself). Hardback with DJ. This book was written with love over 14 years of friendship. Fellini speaks all, and I mean everything about his life in the movies. Charlotte Chandler records and organizes interviews with the director so that the entire piece (except one little chapter at the end) is Fellini talking to a friend, and the reader becoming that friend. I believe this to be the most beautiful biography ever written about Fellini. A touching and profound book that any film lover, and for that matter, any artist wouldn't want to miss. An outstanding reading experience for all Fellini fans and also for all who would like to learn more about him. Very intimate and absolutely inspiring.
