London: Hutchinson & Co., Ltd., 1932. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Author inscribed on the first free end paper to his cousin. Included with the book is an author signed letter to his cousin John Anderson, on "The Gotham" (New York hotel) stationery (with hotel image), in which he says: "I suspect my other book has cured you of reading COCHRAN but I'm terribly proud of A. P. H.'s forward of this one herewith. Vanity prompts me to send it to you". In a note on the side of the letter he says: "I am not responsible for the underlining! It's a second hand copy." The book inscription and letter are dated in December 1937. Gilt lettering on red cloth covered boards. 8vo, 304pp. plus ads following the text. There is a small green Foyles (London) bookseller label on the inside of the front cover. Corners bumped. Light pencil underlining & marginal markings.
