About This Item
New York, U.S.A.: Fleet Publishing Corporation, 1965. Bound in the publishers black cloth hardboards with gilt title lettering to spine. This copy has been signed in heavy black pen to the front free endpaper by the famous and versatile bandleader Artie Shaw and is very rare thus. This is the second printing as stated on the verso of the title page published in March 1965 just one month after the first printing of February 1965. Double matching maroon coloured endpapers to front and rear of book. On the front free maroon coloured endpaper Artie has signed " Merry Xmas - Artie Shaw " All pages are present and correct with no further inscriptions. Book sits solid and square with all corners sharp. A fine copy inside and out. Housed in the fresh, clean dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on the front inside flap. Slight wear and signs of handling to the edges otherwise a lovely example of the dustwrapper in very good+ condition. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. A tight, crisp copy of this most interesting and hilarious Artie Shaw signed title which has been well preserved over the years. Artie Shaw presents this new literary cocktail which as the poignant title suggests is the authors views of marriage on the rocks. An unmissable read !. Signed by Author. First Edition.
