About This Item

Atlanta: Nexus Press, 1987. First edition. Folio, original glossy illustrated boards. Limited to 1,000 copies. Signed by Bill Burke. In fine condition. I Want To Take Picture documents the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge regime. The Khmer Rouge regime, literally the "Red Khmer," was a Communist Party in Kampuchea, Cambodia that was an offshoot of the North Vietnamese People's Army. It was published by Nexus Press in 1987 after Burke's travel to Thailand, Viet Nam, and Cambodia, and it is a sympathetic account of the terrible crimes committed by the regime before they were officially dissolved in 1999.
