London (61, High Street, Merton): Dean & Son. Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Not dated but circa 1950. 140pp. Colour plate frontispiece and further black and white line drawings in text. In pictorial boards with linen spine (boards are worn, rubbed and a little chipped at edges, rounded at corners and spine ends, spine sunned, some visible shelf wear, text block edges darkened). Endpapers a little tanned, with a previous owner's name and address on the front free endpaper. Mild page toning. A period collection of stories for girls: Beginner's Luck by Elizabeth Tugwell; The Story of Mademoiselle Julie by Charlotte M Kelly; Those Awful Little Rabbits by Constance Savery; A Forest Rescue by Leonora Fry; Public Call Box by Alma Allison and several others.
