Small 4to. (8.4 X 6.3 inches). xvi, 213pp. Original light purple cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and decorative designs by Charles Shannon in gilt to both boards and spine. All edges untrimmed. There is a small light smudge to the bottom of the title page and the gilt on the spine is just a little toned but overall this is a very near fine copy.
Housed in a dark blue morocco spined slipcase and chemise. A superior copy of the fourth, and last, of Wilde's comedies of manners, first performed on stage in 1895. One of 1000 copies, published July 1899. -- Mason 385.
