Two volumes in full contemporary polished calf, the backs with gilt lettering on two black morocco labels, end papers and edges marbled. Very Good, boards lightly soiled, end papers foxed but interior pages clean and bright. Non-author gift inscription dated 1844 first white front end page Vol. I, to one Lesley Alexander on his leaving Eton, from Charles William (?). 356, 270 pp. . First Edition. Calf. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
