This mini paperback (4 1/2" x 6 1/4", 170 pages) of the abridged THE ILIAD is actually the August, 1899 circulated edition of the TEN CENT CLASSICS (Vol. II, No. 35) and includes an 8 page preface by MARGARET A EATON. Overall paperback is Good Plus. Pages = Good + : tanning to all, marks on about 8 widely separated pages, edges discolored, else tight, clear, quite sharp corners. Cover (green paper with design and particulars in black) = Good +: chips from top, side and bottom, 2 pieces of scotch tape hold spine in place, else complete and fully readable. NOTED appraiser James Beattie has valued this copy at $50.
