(London: Ingram Brothers, 1890). 400 x 296 mm; magazine, disbound from volume XCVI, and contained within a film fronted bag; wrappers discarded; pp. [737-768]; several woodcuts and advertisements. Moderate foxing; stitching loose; occasional light fingering. There is a report on the Germans' retribution against the population of Kilwa Kivinje, following the murder of two representatives of the German Imperial East Africa Company some time before. The name of Major von Wissmann features prominently in the report. There are two related pictures: "The corvette Carola shelling Kilwa Kivinje, May 1", and "The Carola and Schwalbe bombarding Kilwa, May 3." .
