From the estate of "Buck Coulson" bookplate attached. He was a prominent sci-fi writer who wrote: "But What of the Earth", with Piers Anthony, nightmare universe, dates to the universe, fighting fair, among many other books as written on the inside flyleaf and pencil very small print. Also on the inside front cover ex libris signed by Robert and Juanita Coulson Light green cloth over boards with black lettering and design on the spine. There are no tears, bent pages, nor any other writing except what was noted above. Light bumps to the head and told the spine, very light foxing to the top page edges, a small 1/4 inch smudge on the lower left front board near the groove. Dust jacket no bent flaps, nor is it price clipped. One short tear on the back upper edge, tape repair across the head of the spine, wear to the four edges, light Browning to the spine. Dust jacket now in a clear protective cover. Text is bright and clean, binding is secure, one of Ray Bradberry's early collectible books. Size: 7�" - 9�" Tall

Some of the scuffing on the binding has deep gouges, especially on the rear cover where a strip of leather is missing along the fore edge. Hinges are secure, but there is a strip of old cloth book tape on the front inner hinge, and some of the last few leaves of the index are stuck together at the gutter. This does not really affect the text but there might have been some adhesive applied there. Corners bumped. Contains the front and rear blank flyleaves. There is an early ink signature on the front pastedown which appears to be "L. Silliman" (possibly Levi Silliman? 1797-1867. My Sister Life was written in the summer before the 1917 October Revolution, it was very well received and established him as a genius of Russian poetry. The English translation was done by Mark Rudman. The acclaimed Russian born artist, Yuro Kuyper provides 6 etchings for the publication, printed on Hannemule paper in Paris. The paper used for the text was hand-made by H. M. P. Mill in Connecticut to resemble the sort of stock produced in 1920's Russia, even incorporating bits of Russain newspapers with rags and cotton pulp. The book is in near fine condition, with the only defect being some sunning to the spinea. The slipcase in VG or better, showing some sunning.
