Published anonymously but attributed to the defendant, Charles Cornwallis, 3rd Baron Conwallis (1655-1698), who was tried for murder. He and another man, Charles Gerrard, while drunk and disorderly in the middle of the night threatened a sentinel (who was able to defend himself) and then two young men who were passing by.
