A complete run in 4 issues of the zine put out by the punk band Poison Girls, edited by the band's founding drummer Lance d'Boyle (Gary Lance Robins), and sold at gigs and by mail order, featuring photomontage, lyrics to Poison Girls songs, and writings from other artists, including Janet Dube, Andrea Dworkin, and William S. Burroughs, focusing on issues such as militarism, sexual politics, and capitalism. Profusely illustrated throughout. Some very minor scattered toning and edgewear. The first issue is photomechanically reproduced, the other three are printed in two colors. No. 1 4to., Nos. 2-4 tabloid. Original illustrated self-wrpps., No. 1 stapled, Nos. 2-4 folded. London (X N TRIX) 1980-1986. The Poison Girls were an English anarcho-punk band formed in Brighton, whose songs often explored issues of sexuality and gender roles. They were closely affiliated with the anarchist band Crass and played over 100 gigs together, including benefits as a part of the peace movement and for the Wapping Autonomy Centre. A very scarce complete run; as of January 2019, WorldCat locates five institutions in the United States with any holdings, most of which appear to be a single issue.
