Bound in navy blue cloth, blind embossed emblem on front board,b/w frontis " Bunhill Fields Burial Ground ", 41 b/w illustrations, 172pp Inscribed presentation note on front endpaper. At a church meeting in 1807 at Whitefield's Tabernacle, Moorfields, the Chairman spoke of the prevailing poverty, distress and consequent suffering of the Lord's aged poor. At the next meeting it was resolved that an Instition, to be called " The Aged Pilgrims' Friend Society " should be formed for granting regular help to such aged and infirm persons. This book give the history of the first hundred years of this society.

Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning.

Noticeable shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Book has a forward lean.
