First edition of this scarce installment of the in-house magazine for Indian Motorcycles, and motorcycle enthusiasts, which features excellent articles such as the second part of an Indian rider’s experiences building airfields in North Africa during World War II, as well as an excellent article on the development of the Eliason Motor Toboggan during World War II, featuring an Indian 45 CID engine, featuring a steering wheel cable controlled skis and tubular frame construction, with tread drive. The Indian Motorcycle Co. began as the Hendee Manufacturing Co., and then changed the name to the Indian Motocycle Manufacturing Co. in 1928, and went bankrupt in 1953. Eventually Polaris purchased the rights to the name and moved the manufacturing facilities to Minnesota and Iowa, and revived the famed brand.
