Los Angeles. Good with no dust jacket. 1926. First Edition. Hardback. Brown patterned paper boards with paper paste-down title on spine. Brown patterned endpapers match cover. Deckled top edge. Top of first endpaper is uncut. Bookplate from former owner William Richter McNair on inside of front board. Past-down title is slightly chipped. Wear to head and foot of spine, and some bumping to edges of boards. Some very light, very occasional soiling in text block. Binding is tight. Uncommonly found in commerce. This reprinting of articles by Hugo Reid on the "Angeles County Indians" is from the scrapbook collection of clippings from the Los Angeles Star in the Bancroft Library at the University of California. Reid married the daughter of the chieftan of the Gabrielanos and assumed a position which gave him exceptional opportunity to inform himself on all aspects of the customs, traditions, and history of these Indians. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 70 pp .
