Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. preface by author preface to third and fourth editions, introduction by author, bibliography, appendix and index. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. "In this book. I have tried to bring out the courses which lead to the coming of machinery and which make great Britain. The workshop of the world for a large part of the nineteenth century." -- from page 7. First published in 1921. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the book corners with the top book corners bumped. Fading to the backstrip and top edge of the panels with browning of the textblock edges and lighter browning of the pages. The hinge has cracked between the half title page and title page. A previous owner has underlined the first few pages of the text in pencil. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )On shelf each shop has 30,000 plus books and we list over 30000 books online
